Coronation Day: Celebrates the 1949 crowning of HM The King (Tuesday)

8 May Visakha Bucha Day: celebrates the birth and enlightenment of the Buddha (Friday)
7 July Asarnha Bucha Day: commemorates the day on which Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon (Tuesday)
12 August 

HM The Queen's Birthday (Wednesday) also Mothers' Day
23 October 

Chulalongkorn Day: Commemorates King Rama V (Friday)

5 December 

HM The King's Birthday (Saturday) also Fathers' Day

7 December Public holiday: in lieu of HM The King's birthday falling on Saturday (Monday)
