Dangerous Taxi Drivers

JD writes in Cars, Bikes & Driving

I recently had to get a Taxi from the airport into town. The driver had very red eyes and when we were on the expressway, actually started to fall asleep. I'm sure he'd been drinking so I got out as soon as possible so that I could get in a new Taxi.

It was an official Taxi, so before getting into a Taxi anywhere I'd be a little careful that the driver looks ok.

Some taxi drivers are great and others are downright dangerous, but I'm not sure they are any worse than taxi drivers anywhere else in the world?

But don't get me started on motorbike taxis! Very quick, but you must have good medical and life insurance before you get on one!!

A motorbike taxi should only be used as a completely last resort. Like you say quick, but very dangerous! Jack

I reckon the taxi drivers in Singapore are the rudest in the world, in Greece they're the most dangerous, in the Riviera the most luxurious (and most expensive) and in Bangkok, they are the friendliest!!
