Bangkok Veterans Football League - Bangkok Veterans Classic International Tournament
Swiftly heading towards its 5th season, to commemorate this milestone anniversary, Bangkok Veterans League invites you to its inaugural international tournament, fondly called "Bangkok Veterans Classic". The Vets League has developed from its humble 4-team beginnings to today's 24-team tournaments held month-after-month. As a natural extension, we would like to expand the fun-&-joy to an international level starting from 2009.
Any revenue over and above the costs of holding the tournament will be donated to Sister Joan Evans PBVM. For more details about her good work please visit her website by clicking here. Sister Joan Evans lives and works in the slum communities of Klong Toey in Bangkok. The Sister's mission aims to encourage, assist and support children and young people from a disadvantaged background to obtain an education. Projects run by Sister include her fortnightly Milk Run project providing milk formula to over 150 babies, her annual Education project providing uniforms, shoes, socks and bags to over 600 students, her Fares and Food project during each term providing funding so students can travel to school and buy their lunch, and the Family Food project which provides essential food assistance to many families. Sister Joan's donation philosophy is simple - a little bit of money goes a long way.
